There is another balcony, opposite the Jacuzzi. “You can open the door if the weather is good and lie in the bath in the fresh air.” Outside, a major highlight is the private rural setting of the property, adjoining the North York Moors National Park. The house has a total of about three and a half acres of garden, and a further two acres of woodland. The gardens were landscaped, some with an interesting Mediterranean theme. To the front and side of the house are stone paved patio areas, which are perfect for parties and barbecues, says John. There is also a circular summerhouse and the golf course, either for practice or just for fun. “There are hidden speakers outside and when you have Sinatra playing, it’s just great,” adds John. To the front of the property is a gravelled driveway and circular turning area, plus a detached four-car garage.
